CorporateBengal okays creation of 606 new posts
The West Bengal cabinet in a meeting today okayed creation of 606 new posts and filling up of 264 vacancies in different departments, the state"s finance minister, Asim Dasgupta, said.

The new posts would be created in the education and health departments besides in the West Bengal Civil Service cadre.
The vacancies would be filled up mainly in the Land and Land Revenue and Forest departments, Dasgupta said.
The state cabinet also expressed satisfaction in fulfilling rice procurement target last year and hoped to surpass the target of 18 lakh tonnes this year.
The state government would keep the procurement price at an appropriate level.
