Basu responding to treatment: Yechury

Ailing Jyoti Basu is responding to treatment and there is a positive change in his health condition, CPI(M) politburo member Sitaram Yechury said today. - Cabinet meet cancelled - Basu"s condition improves marginally, says aide - PM to meet ailing Basu - Basu"s son deplores rumours - Basu on ventilator, condition "very critical" - Basu"s condition turns serious "Basu"s condition, however, remains critical despite his response to the latest anti-biotics. His condition is much better than what it was yesterday," Yechury told reporter after visiting Basu, who is on a ventilator at a private hospital here. He said the medical board was busy in a meeting to assess Basu"s health condition and how to proceed further.
